My Home Living Room Tour

I’m really excited to share my living room tour with you today. I’ve had the best time designing this space, inspired by our travels and my take on modern glam with mid-century modern touches. I had so much fun working with this color palette, and my original painting by Marko Mavrovich is definitely the focal point of the room.

Let’s talk about this Marko piece for a moment. I seriously LOVE this acrylic painting. It’s the perfect statement piece for our high traffic space. For some time now I had been wanting to add a little pop of color, as the house has primarily been neutrals (which is my jam). But I’m having a SERIOUS obsession with this blue right now…like it might be my favorite color.

Our concentric coffee table is an exclusive piece from Z Gallerie. I actually purchased this table over 10 years ago and it’s still a very popular item!! You can still purchase it today! And score – it’s on sale right now!

The couches are from the Birch & Lane Dalila Chesterfield Sofa collection. I was nervous about purchasing such a large furniture item online but I was thrilled when it arrived and how perfectly it fit. This material is fairly easy to clean (and we have dogs) but my one caution with this type/color of furniture – DENIM! Dark denim beware. Regardless, it’s the prefect match for my style.

Since I wanted to bring out the blues, I opted to pick up some new throw pillows. Thankfully I scored this gorgeous abstract pillow cover during West Elm’s big end-of-year sale, as well as, a bright pressed velvet blue/green, which is now sold out.

I love’d the idea of open shelving and since I have a few items that I like to have on display, I purchased this fun white metal shelving from Ikea in Kansas City. It’s fun to switch things on the shelves up on and off. And I loved it so much I got a second for my office!

Prior to adding this great find to the space, I had tried out two different accent chairs. A third time’s a charm, right! I wanted something that again, added some pop to my neutral palette but also wasn’t too big or too small for the space. So this velvet chair from Target (of course) was the perfect color and fit! And it’s puppy approved.

Since I wanted to hang my painting above the love seat I felt like the corner was a little bare. So seeing that when we built the house the electrician added a switch outlet in the vicinity, I was on the hunt for the perfect floor lamp. I had narrowed it down to four but ultimately went with this gold Task Floor Lamp from Wayfair. Sadly it’s out of stock now.

To hold everything together I opted for a rug that I had my eyes on for years! The Bosphorus Moroccan Trellis rug in grey from Rugs USA is just perfection. Now I just can’t wait for our wood floors – COMING SOON!

So there you have it! A quick peek into our main living room space. I am missing a few sections to this room but more to come! Sources below!
