It’s finally finished!!! Well mostly. There are just a few things I need to finish but they’re super minor. I’m happy to now have a space that is 100% me and mine. A creative space that I actually enjoy working in. My office is 200x better than any cubicle I worked in before. Hands down!
So the details!
My biggest tackle was painting the room a color that I knew I wouldn’t get tired of. Obviously it needed to be neutral and bright. I ended up with Classic Gray by Benjamin Moore. I absolutely love it. You can’t tell too much from the photos but it has just a tint of gray so the white furniture pops next to it. I actually decided to paint my trim the same color.
Next was furniture, lighting and accessories. With my branding change in 2015 I wanted to stick with golds, white, silvers, grays and a few pops of pink. But really my neutral metallics. Which are my fav! I also included a few DIY projects. Below is a little tour.

I searched forever for the perfect chair. Let me tell you, it was the worst! I couldn’t find anything I loved….until….PB Teen! Yep, my adorable dalmatian print office chair is from Pottery Barn Teen! It’s comfy and exactly what I was looking for! It might be my favorite part of the room. 🙂
A girl can never have too many gold accessories!
My Gold Quatrefoil 3-Light Pendant Lamp was another awesome find. I went to the grand opening of World Market here in Omaha and it was love at first sight. I knew it’d fit perfectly in the room. And I was over the old light fixture. It was $99 but I had 25% off plus I got two free movie tickets for being one of the first 200 people to purchase something. Score! 😉 But guess what my friends. You can get this amazing light on sale now!
Oh, and I installed it all by myself! The hubs was even impressed.
I knew early on I wanted a wall for just my prints. I had seen in a Facebook group a similar take on this type of display and headed right to Lowe’s to create my own version. And it cost less than $30. The pillows and gold zebra print bench are also DIYs. The bench actually still needs some work. 🙂
The black globe is also a DIY. I got a cheap globe from Goodwill ($6) and chalkboard paint. Voila! 😉 Now I just need a cute quote to write on it. Any thoughts??
My sheepskin rugs were an awesome find by my sister-in-law on Joss & Main! I LOVE them! They even have a nice memory foam padding. I find my self sitting on the floor far more than I should. Haha!
I found this awesome gold accent table at the local At Home store! It was exactly what I was looking for.
My gold bins are also a DIY. They were originally pink and gray. I picked up the perfect tone of gold at Hobby Lobby and painted each one! Was a little tedious but I love how they turned out!
