Dollie always knew she’d marry a man from another country. And when she met Janusz their love story instantly began.
Janusz came to Omaha, Nebraska from Poland. He and Dollie met through mutual friends and in late 2013 they were engaged and wedding plans began. Knowing they’d bring friends and family from around the world to celebrate their special day with them, they needed the perfect destination. And that location was the beautiful Allenspark, CO. A gorgeous spot nestled into the breathtaking mountains.
The wedding was small yet romantic surrounded by none other than the amazing scenery. Dollie was stunning in her unique pink wedding dress (found during the Brides Against Breast Cancer event in Omaha, NE). She brought many artistic and DIY touches to her wedding day. Each item was selected with specific intentions and collected over a period of time.
The wedding was hosted at the Wild Basin Lodge & Event Center in Allenspark, Colorado and served as a perfect backdrop to a stunning day.
Thank you Dollie and Janusz for including me in your engagement and wedding story.

Dollie slipped on her perfectly pink dress at a nearby lodge where they stayed prior to the wedding day.
Dollie’s beautiful succulent florals were designed by The Enchanted Florist in Estes Park, Colorado.
I just loved Dollie’s pink wedding dress! It fit her personality so perfectly, but more than anything it supported the fight against breast cancer.
First kiss as husband and wife with this background! Perfection!
Dollie and Janusz had all their guests partake in a Polish tradition called the Penny Toss.
When entering the reception, quests were greeted with handmade placement cards and a game of Web-Libs. The placement cards were made from various images of special moments in couples lives. They had tiny images printed as stickers and hand lettered the names on small kraft tags.
Over the year, Dollie carefully selected specific pieces that would make up her centerpieces, including mercury glass, mason jars, and various quotes.
For the cake, Dollie again used her DIY touches and made the cake topper then added her own personal touch with some fresh florals.
The first dance and father daughter dance.
