Wednesday night we ended up at a local bar (LOCAL, Beer, Patio, and Kitchen). It wasn’t the ideal place to celebrate our first decade but nothing else seemed to work. We didn’t expect to celebrate our anniversary there, in fact, we had a lovely plan. This year was to be our sabbatical and we were going to take a month off to celebrate our 10th laying on a beach in Bora Bora. But things change. And sometimes they don’t go the way we’d like.

That’s one thing I’ve learned over the years…marriage doesn’t always go as planned. But what I do know, is when you find the love of your life whether you’re enjoying the relaxing beaches of Bora Bora or sitting at a local bar enjoying the cheese and tots, you’re enjoying life together.

We’ve been through a lot. The good and the bad. The fun and the boring. The happy and the tragic. But we’ve always been together. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

The best way we could celebrate is to invest in our experiences. To create new memories together. So here is to creating many more memories.
