They were living in California and planned a visit in Nebraska for a wedding. Little did Ria know, Gorka was secretly planning a day she would never forget.
He flew in a day early to get the details in place.
Her sister was to pick her up at the airport, in tow with roses and a new outfit. He made dinner reservations at a place they had one of their first dates.
As with any big surprise, things didn’t go as planned. Ria’s flight was cancelled the night before and had to be rescheduled. Which now meant he had to pick her up from the airport.
The kink in the day didn’t put a damper on his master plan. Upon picking her up, Gorka promptly presented her with a photo book filled with their favorite pictures, each with a caption of why he loved her. From there he drove her to a little lake near the place they had first met. The took a little walk. At that moment he asked her to be with him forever. Her answer — YES!!
The day wouldn’t have been complete without celebrating their engagement. And that’s exactly what he planned. Gorka ensured her final surprise included what meant the most to Ria, her family and closest friends. Everyone gathered at her mom’s house where they were waiting to surprise them on the engagement!
Ria and Gorka’s wedding day was beyond gorgeous and perfectly set in a lovely part of West Omaha. Surrounded by their family and friends they said exchanged their vows and danced the night away at the Noah’s Event Venue.
Ria + Gorka – congrats! It was truly a blessing to be a part of your day and to share in such a gorgeous celebration of two lovely individuals. I wish you all the best and many, many year of happiness.

PS – There were many amazingly talented vendors that helped bring their wedding day to life. Get all the details below and the complete list of venders at the end of this post!
The super cute invites were made via the Wedding Paper Diva’s.
Ria was surrounded by her mother, sisters, niece and closest friends as she prepped for her wedding day. They met at Prevue’ Salon where they began getting prepped.
Isn’t the flower girl just adorable! 🙂 And this little lady had some style!
After completely hair and makeup, the ladies headed to Noah’s where they finished getting dressed. The room was full of laughter and dancing. Turn on that Brittney Spears!! 😉
Ria’s dress was a beautiful St. Patrick gown with intricate beading and tulle purchased at Trudy’s Brides in California.
The wedding ring was quite the stunner as well. A sparkling Ritani.
In a room just down the hall the guys played a bit of pool, took selfies, and relaxed.
Once all dressed, it was time for the big reveal. Ria and Gorka choose to have a first look. They wanted to spend the day together and since the ceremony was in the evening, the first look gave them an early start to the day and any alone time they needed later on. And his face says it all! It was Ria’s turn to surprise Gorka!
I mean, really, these two are just stunners!!
The two of them together is so joyous!
Their lovely bridal party was made up of their siblings and closest friends. They were a blast too!
Gorka’s twin brother and good friend had flown in from Spain to be a part of the day and to show their loving support of Gorka and Ria.
Noah’s did a beautiful job setting the theme for their wedding day. The chandilers were hung and lantern lit.
His smile!
Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez!!
The fabulous flower arrangements by Flowers for Special Occasions adorned Noah’s.
One of my favorite elements were the hand painted gold pineapples placed at each table! A little DIY by Ria and her sisters.
Ria had told me early on that they wanted their own signature cocktail for the reception. I now introduce to you the Amor! A delicious pink drink too!
Seriously, all smiles all the time!
The cake was also eye catching. Each little gold sprinkle was hand rolled for this beauty. Tonya of Cake Creations Omaha did an amazing job on all the cakes!
The groom being an advice soccer fan, had his cake incrested with the famous soccer club Real Madrid logo.
Aren’t their champaign glasses the best! A Marshall’s find my friends!
The speeches were so special. Each family had videos to share with the couple which brought tears and laughters to everyone!
The sunsetted first dance.
What reception isn’t complete with out a photo booth??? Snap Omaha did a great job entertaining and providing all kinds of silliness to the night.
And cotton candy?! Yes please! Who can say no to pink cotton candy? This pink machine of awesomeness kept the kids hyped up on sugar all night.
And of course I can’t forget the rocking music that keep Ria spinning the night away. Curtis kept everyone on their feet.
One of my favorite parts of the day, is slipping away with the bride and groom for sunset photos. By this time, they’re relaxed and can finally call each other husband and wife! It’s the perfect time to capture some intimate moments with just the two of them.
As a final bonus, I got to spend a few extra moments with the ladies of the day. We got a little goofy with the pineapples and it was simply the best ever!
Many thanks to the amazing team who brought this wedding to life…
