Frequently Asked Questions

How does booking work?

During booking we’ll discuss the date, time, location, as well as, which scene you would like painted. A well lit ceremony and reception are the most popular!

what's the best location for painting?

Proper lighting is important! A location with bright, natural light is ideal. Obviously, a location accessible to guests is also ideal, so they can enjoy the live painting! Together, we'll determine the best spot prior to the event.

how long will You be at the event?

On day of event I will arrive one hour before to set up my easel and begin the foundation of the painting. When the guests arrive…they'll soon see the scene come to life. I will be at the event for approximately 2 hours, typically during a portion of the ceremony and/or reception.

what's included in the cost?

It includes 2 hours of live painting, materials and the cost of framing and delivery. I will work with you before and after the event to ensure the process is smooth and the final product is something you will treasure forever!

is the painting completed at the event?

Due to the nature of watercolor paint, the painting won't be fully completed at the event. The painting will be taken back to the studio for finishing touches and framing.

When will I receive my painting?

The painting will be delivered to you within 6 weeks of your big day. This timeframe includes the time I need to put finish touches on the painting, the framing prep and the actual framing process.

What type of materials do you use?

I paint with high quality watercolor paint on pre-stretched 140lb paper. The paint is non-toxic and extremely quick-drying, allowing for easy clean-up and transport of the painting and my materials after an event.

Are you willing to travel to paint?

I'm based in Omaha, NE but more than willing to travel to your event! I require an additional travel cost such as airfare and hotel. Events within 1.5 hours driving distance from NE do not require an overnight stay but a travel fee will be reflected in the total price quote.

How much space do you need?

My setup is minimal and doesn't require assistance. I bring my own easel and stool. I only require a small painting area (no more than approximately 4' X 6') in advance of my arrival, inside or outside. I do require a good view of the scene I am painting and sufficient lighting.
